Ruling: Genetically-modified foods are not kosher

This two-part ruling is simply one man’s determination of the issue and is not binding on others — unless they wish it to be, of course.

1) Foods made with genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) are not kosher.

2) Natural hybrids are generally fine, provided that both gametes were kosher.

How to Understand Everything

In the example of the atom, one must stop knowing that one is stationed on the outside, looking in, and start imagining that one is on the inside, looking out.

In the example of the universe, flip that.

The Moon: Half full or half empty?

Generally speaking, when viewing a half-moon from north of the equator, if the left side is lit, then the illuminated portion of the moon will be getting thinner (waning), but if the right side is lit, then the moon is getting fuller (waxing).

South of the equator, the opposite would be true.

The Persian Puzzle

I am in a box labeled “Atoms of Peaceful Progress” –

the lid is askew, offering a dim, limited, inside view.

Though the material of the box seems quite opaque,

the owner insists that it’s absolutely transparent.

There’s no consensus on the box’s degree of opacity,

let alone the precise nature of its mysterious contents.

I am just one thing, amongst many things in the box,

but I am that which most crucially needs knowing.

My exposure would negate or confirm all suspicion,

yet I defy identification – even by skillful illumination.

What am i?
